Personally I feel that the site is not physically appealing one’s eye. It is not properly structured and there are just too many banner ads on the homepage. Improper color combination. It doesn’t give a pleasant user experience.

I have signed up for no-minimum just for reviewing purposes. No-minimum sends email advertisements everyday. Beware of flooded inboxes.

Premium members receive $0.0125 per click instead of $0.001 per click.
Users can purchase referrals packages to increase the number of referrals under their downline.

*I have not seen any payment proofs from bux.to. PTC-Talk also does not have any payment proofs from bux.to. However many members in the forums claimed that payments are made.

Bux.to is under PTC Talk’s watchlist and scam alert list. According to PTC Talk: Bux.to - Recently added to GPT Boycott, for all of the reasons we had Bux.to on our watchlist the last time. They make fake referrals to sell to people. They DONT FOLLOW THEIR OWN TOS (they say they pay in 30 days...people wait WAY longer than 30 days). They pay a few users, and not others. This is to try to keep people from thinking they are a scam. Definitely stay away from this monster of a scam.

Once all payments are made and misunderstands are cleared i will remove the negative comments.

Get Traffic & Backlinks With Referer.Org

Referer.org provides a free feature that allows webmasters to automatically link to pages that are linking to them. No sign up required, just copy and paste HTML javascript and you are done. This is how it looks like on your blog/webpage:

I created a link to webpage A and in return a backlink is created automatically on the page that i link to. This backlink will be visible to all who visits Webpage A.

Users are able to customize their widget at referer.org, but are not allowed to remove the little referer.org banner at the bottom.

How to increase my traffic and backlinks with referer.org widget?

We can make use of this little feature to get backlinks and traffic to our website.
I guess all of you will already have the answers in our mind. Just link other pages up. Yep that is right! Create links to other pages that are relevant to your site and pages who have referer.org widget installed.

How do i know if the page have referer.org widget installed?

Simple. Take a look at the picture above, there are 2 sentences that says "web pages referring to this page" and "link to this page and get a link back". Copy either of this sentence and paste it into google search engine bar. Remember to quote the sentence up. If you do a quick search there will be about 305,000 results with the term "web pages referring to this page" and 285,000 results with "link to this page and get a link back". This result indicates that all these pages do have this widget installed on them.

How do i search for relevant pages that have referer.org widget installed?

To get relevant pages, just do this search "link to this page and get a link back" + "your keywords". For example in my case it will be "link to this page and get a link back" + "make money online" there were 4730 results for this search.

Now start linking all these relevant sites up on your links section and visit the newly linked sites by clicking the links in your links section. If you dont visit the new sites through your site, the widget will not be able to track which site are linking to them. Wait for a couple of hours and your links will appear on the sites.

Bingo! You got yourself new backlinks and potential traffic!

Do i have to install referer.org widget on my site as well?

You do not need to install it inorder to get backlinks from other sites. But it will be good to install it on your site, because it gives other webmasters the incentives to link you up, just like how you linked other pages up for backlinks?

I have done everything and waited for 24 hours. Why isn't my link showing up on other pages?

Webmasters have full control of what links that appear on their widget. They may have banned your link, or you have to click on the 'expand this list' button to view the backlink to your site. This often happens when there are too many links on the widget.

Why is the Backlink not to my index page?

If place a link on your link page example: www.yourdomain.com/links, the widget will create a link back to www.yourdomain.com/links instead of www.yourdomain.com.

Other features:

Referer.org also provides information such as who are refering to your page, number of visit from these pages and PageRank of these pages.

Make Money Online? Be Realistic!

I was on Yahoo Answers doing a search on my favourite keywords "make money online" and found a whole list of questions about making money online. Many of the questions revolves "How to make lots of quick and easy money online?"

My answer is 'dude, if there are ways to make us rich, there won't be hundreds of such similar questions posted on Yahoo Answers'.

My point is if you want to make money online, you have to be realistic. There isnt any programs that can generate you $10k per month without lifting a finger. If you have heard of them, they are probably scams.Too many people out there are just being too unrealistic about making money online. There is no such thing as easy money or we all will be rich by now and poverty will cease to exist.

Want to make money from PTCs? It aint that simple as it seems to be. Take for example this PTC advertisement:

Earnings Example
» You click 10 ads per day = $0.10
» 20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2.00
» Your daily earnings = $2.10
» Your weekly earnings = $14.70
» Your monthly earnings = $63.00

$63.00 of free money per month does sound good huh? But that is under the assumption that you have 20 referrals and all of them must be active enough to click on 10 ads everyday.

Trust me, its difficult enough to get 20 referrals, let alone for all 20 to be active everyday.

Take a look at PTC forums and at their payment proofs, how many of these payment proofs are big checks? How many of them are more than $50? And just look at the number members wowing at a 10 dollar check when its posted up in the forum. Many of them were unable to make good money. not even 10 dollars a month.

I have nothing against PTCs. The point i m trying to get across is there are only few people who can make good money online. And the reason is there are no such thing as easy money online!

Leave PTCs aside and talk about blogging for money. Expecting to make thousands of dollars per month after 1 week of blogging? Nope, it is not going to happen. Big names in the blogosphere takes years to establish their blogs and reputation. They did not happen to be successful by chance. It is hardwork and commitment that brings them to what they are now.

So if you are new and looking for ways to make money online, remember to be realistic!

Simple Ways To Hide Affiliate Links

I m sure all of you know how important your affiliate link is. And how important that people click on your affiliate link and make a purchase. This means income right? who doesn't want to have higher affiliate income?

But there are many people out there who hijacks and bypass affiliate links. What do i mean by hijacking and bypassing affiliate links?

Hijacking implies that when someone visits your site and click on your affiliate link that brings them to a page to make a purchase. But instead of purchasing under your affiliate id, these people changes the affiliate URL on the address bar to their own affiliate id and make a purchase through their affiliate id.
Example: your affiliate link is www.affiliate-domain.com/ref=youraffiliateid. These people will change it to www.affiliate-domain.com/ref=theiraffiliateid.
This means fall in affiliate income.

Bypassing affiliate link means someone removing your affiliate link and make purchases directly from the site. This is usually done by rolling their mouse over a text that they thinks contains an affiliate link like this: NetAudioAds.The status bar on the bottom of the browser will show the full link such as this:http://www.sellingppp.com/a.cgi?ppp=1202471545 .These people will then chop off the affiliate id off "a.cgi?ppp=1202471545", and only visit the original link: http://www.sellingppp.com/. This means that you do not receive any affiliate commission.

I am going to introduce 2 simple ways of hiding your affiliate link so that it makes them harder to be altered or bypassed.

Method 1: Mouseover Link Hider

You can try hiding the text that appear in the status bar when people roll their mouse over a text that contains affiliate link.Try the Mouseover Link Hider at HTML Basix.

They will generate a html code which looks like this:

a href="YOUR-AFFILIATE-LINK" style="font-size:12px;color:black;font-family:verdana;" onMouseOver="window.status=''; return true;" onMouseOut="window.status=''; " target="_top">TEXT THAT CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINK

Note:remember to add tags '<' at the beginning and < / a > at the end, without the spacings. I took it off so that you can see the whole HTML code.

Just copy, paste and edit the above HTML code. This makes it harder for people to by pass your affiliate link as the full link is not shown on the status bar.

However everything has a downside and there is no exception for this method.
Although affiliate link cannot be seen when a mouse is placed on the text, but the affiliate link will be visible on the status bar when someone applies a right click on the text.

Try this rolling a mouse over. No affiliate link visible. Try right clicking and holding the right click down. Affiliate link is visible in the status bar: sign up

Further more when people click on the link it will bring you to the sales page with your full affiliate link in the address bar. This makes your link more prone to hijacking!

Method 2: ViralURL

Use ViralURL to cloak affiliate links. Don't worry the link to viralurl isn't an affiliate link. In zooble a text that contains affiliate link will have a '(aff)' beside it to tell users that is an affiliate link.
Alright lets get back to topic.

ViralUrl allows you to generate a cloaked link. It is fast and easy to use. For example my affiliate URL is: http://www.sellingppp.com/a.cgi?ppp=12024715 the cloaked link will look something like this: http://viralurl.com/eranium/Pay-Per-Play (http://www.viralurl.com/your-username/title). You can use Mouseover Link Hider to hide this URL so that it will not appear on the status bar. Cloaked Link and Cloaked link + mouseover link hider. Notice that users can still see the URL of the cloaked link in the status bar but not the cloaked link+mouseover link hider.

When users click on the cloaked link, they will be brought to the affiliate page. But the URL on the address bar will be this: http://viralurl.com/eranium/Pay-Per-Play and not your affiliate URL. Thus it makes it harder for them to hijack your affiliate URL.

Before cloaking affiliate links, be sure to read the affiliate guidelines. Some affiliate networks do not allow affiliates to cloak affiliate links.

There are still many more cloaking methods which i will be introducing to you in the near future. Meanwhile, get going and cloak those affiliate links!!

Pay Per Play

26 December 2007

Years ago Pay Per Click ads took the world by storm. Today there is a new form of ads called Pay Per Play which claims that they will be as successful as Pay Per Click ads.

NetAudioAds came up with a form of audio ads called pay per play (aff). As the name implies webmasters get paid for every time the audio ad is played on their site. Each audio ad will last for 5 seconds. There are also 30 seconds audio ads for webmasters to choose from.

Just like Google Adsense, pay per play audio ads will be playing ads that are relevant to the content of your site.

Affiliates who refer advertisers or bloggers through their affiliate link also stand to benefit from their affiliate sales.

Here is their compensation structure from the FAQ page.

QUESTION: What is the compensation structure for this program?

ANSWER:

25% of what the advertiser spends on PPP ads you serve on your own website(s).
5% of what the advertiser spends on PPP ads played on the website(s) of those you refer.
5% of what the advertiser spends on PPP ads played on the website(s) that your direct referrals bring on board.

NetAudioAds announce that pay per play ads will only officially start playing ads on 1st February 2008. In the mean time NetAduioAds are marketing this new form of advertising method.

The current question is how effective is pay per play ads for bloggers/webmasters and advertisers?

For bloggers/webmasters pay per play ads means 100% 'click through rate'. Every time a visitor visits the page with a pay per play ad, the ad will be automatically played. Visitors have no control over if they want the ads to be played or not. Unlike traditional pay per click ads, visitors can have the freedom to choose if they want to click on certain ads or not. This spells high conversion rates for bloggers/webmasters.

Advertisers can stand to benefit too.In pay per click ads, advertisers will only stand to gain if their pay per click advertisements catch the eyes of the visitors. In another words, advertiser's ads will be ineffective if people did not see them. These cases are frequent in pages that contains too many text, ads, or ads are placed in less noticeable locations. Unlike pay per click, visitors will be exposed to the ads upon entering the site.. unless they have their speaker muted or they are hearing impaired. well this is the down side of pay per play ads for the advertisers but it does not affect bloggers/webmasters revenue at all since the 'play rate' will still be 100%.

Lets talk about how visitors will feel when being exposed to audio ads. Irritated perhaps? well i will definitely be irritated even though it is just a 5 second audio ad. Imagine listening to your favourite song on the music player and to be interrupted by a 5 second or worse, a 30 second commercial! However NetAudioAds claims that complains are few and it will not cause traffic drop in sites with audi ads because ads played are just 5 seconds short.

I am going to try pay per play audio ads out, perhaps on this blog, no matter how much it irritates me. Just to see how the system work and if it is an effective way to make money online.

We can only see how effective pay per play audio ads are after it is launched on 1st Feburary next year. So in the meantime we will just have to wait.If you are interested in becoming a member feel free to sign up (aff).

PTC-The Lazy Man’s Job

24 December 2007

This article contains my random thoughts about PTCs. A few days back while I was surfing Friendster Groups about making money online and I come across this public group with just 1 member. He was advertising one his sites and he went something like “hello! Visit this site for more money making opportunities”.

Being curious of what is in the site I clicked and checked it out. Guess what? A whole list of referral links to almost all the PTCs that you can find on planet Earth. My first reaction was “Oh my god! Imagine the number of sign-up forms this guy have to fill in”. After taking a more detailed look at what PTCs he joined I realized that many of them were unreliable PTCs according to PTCTalk.

This leads me to ponder if PTC is a lazy man’s job. Why do I say so? All this man is doing is hoping and waiting for people to join his downline and start earning off them. Successful members who earn big bucks on PTCs did not do most of the ad clicking. It is all done by their referrals! You may argue that he spend lots of effort trying to get more referrals. Yes I do agree that PTC members have to put in large amount of efforts in getting huge amount of referrals to generate big bucks. But you are missing out on one point, how many of these people who got referrals manually actually generate good money?

Let me answer this question. Few.

Let me clarify what do I mean by getting referrals manually. It simply means publicizing your referral link and persuading people to join. Ok, so is there an automatic way of getting referrals?

Yes. Buy referrals. And what do you do after you buy referrals? Hope that they are active and wait for they to click on ads. I came across this forum thread posted by a user who claimed that he earned 960 dollars in 43 days with his 1052 referrals of which he bought 1000 referrals. 960 in 43 days isn’t that some good money when you did nothing? At this rate he would be able to recoup the money spend on referrals on the following month and even have left over money.

Tell me isn’t this a lazy man’s job?!

Blogsvertise

22 December 2007

Blogsvertise is another paid to blog site. It is totally free to sign up and upon approval your blog will join all other blogs in the assignment queue. Payment ranges from USD$4-25 but most people will fall in the USD$5-15 category.

Each post only requires2-3 paragraphs of about 100 words and at least 3 anchor link back to the advertiser's website. The anchor links are compulsory.

Blogs that are new (less than 30 days), inactive or contains pornographic materials are not welcomed at Blogsvertise.

I am suprised that Bloggvertise did not stat requirements like Google PageRank and Alexa Rank. Most of the paid to blog site that i went to requires blogs to attain certain Google PageRank and Alexa Rank before they are approved.

If PageRank and Alexa Rank is not the main Blogsvertise's main priority, it can benefit many bloggers who own small and less popular blogs.

Visit their FAQ page or Guidelines for more information.

Rent A Ghost Writer

21 December 2007

Rent A Ghost Writer is a site which brings ghostwriters and clients together.
Clients are the people who needs articles on certain topics to be written and the ghost writers are paid by the clients to write the articles.

What is a Ghost Writer?

A ghostwriter is a professional writer who is paid to write books, articles, stories, or reports which are officially credited to another person. Celebrities, executives, and political leaders often hire ghostwriters to draft or edit autobiographies, magazine articles, or other written material. In music, ghostwriters are used in classical music, film composition, and popular music such as hip-hop. The ghostwriter is sometimes acknowledged by the author or publisher for their assistance.
-wikipedia

Clients seeking help will post their projects with requirements and project descriptions on the site. Interested ghost writers will place monetary bids for the offer. This bid indicates how much the client will have to pay you if you are selected to write the article. Clients will then choose the most qualified ghost writers based on their skills, experience and bid.

I have checked the site out and it seem quite promising. There are alot of opportunities out there for you to grab. There requests for ebooks or biography to be written and the payout is over thousands of dollars.

Feel free to check out their FAQ page to clear your doubts.

I have already submitted a new article and lets wait and see if any credit is given. will keep you updated on any progress.

Generate Income From Your Blog

20 December 2007

I am going to introduce you a few ways which you can earn money from your blog with minimal or even no start up cost at all.

Cost Per Impression (CPM) Advertising Programs

CPM Advertising Programs places relevant ads on your blog and pays you accordingly. Payment is dependend on the Click Through Rate(CTR) of your ads. CTR is measured by taking the number of clicks on the ads divided by the number of page impression multiply by 100. For each CTR value there is a coressponding CPM value. For example if your CTR is 10% the CPM value maybe $10. This implies that for every 1000 page impression you will make 10 dollars if the CTR is 10%. Google Adsense is undisputedly the most popular CPM Advertising Program around. Second to it will be Yahoo Publisher Network which works almost similarly to Google Adsense.

Cost Per Click Advertising Programs

Instead of calculating revenue using CPM and CTR these programs pays you a certain amount of money for each click on the ads displayed on your webpage. The amount of money you get paid per click is dependent on how popular your blog is. If you have a popular blog, many advertisers will be vying to place ads on your ad space, your revenue per click will definitely be higher. BidVertiser is one of the more popular advertising program of its kind.

Affiliate Links

Join an affiliate program and place your affiliate link on your blog. Everytime people click on the affiliate link and purchase an item, you will earn commission from the sale.

Sell Text Links

Offer to place text links for other websites and collect a fee from them. Finding suitable and interested websites may be difficult and time consuming but if you are successful it can generate some decent revenue.
You may also be interested to try out Text Link Ads. Text Link Ads automatically places ads on your ad space and pays you. Join Text Link Ads Affiliate Program, refer other users and make additional money.

Embed Media Feeds

The Voxant NewsRoom allows users to place text, image or video news feeds on their blogs or websites and pays the blogger or webmaster a certain amount of money per thousand views on these media. Set up reciprocal links

When site A and site B both agree to place each other’s URL link in their website a reciprocal link is being set up.

Reciprocal links are important in determining your site traffic and more importantly it determines your Google PageRank. It will be good if you are able to set up reciprocal links with other sites that are of similar theme to yours. Setting up of reciprocal links to website which does not have relevant theme will only harm your Google PageRank.

Here are few basic steps to setting up reciprocal links.

1. Search for relevant sites that you want to set up a reciprocal link with
2. Create a link in your website to theirs
3. Send an email to notify them that you have placed their link in your site and hope that they will place a reciprocal link. Remember to include the page that you have placed their link in and your site URL.
4. Wait for 1-2 weeks.
5. Check back their site to see if they have created a link to your web page.
6. If there is not any link created, delete their link in your site. The Webmaster is most probably uninterested in creating reciprocal links.

Submit URLs to Search Engines

There are billions of web pages online and thousands of them spring up like mushrooms daily. Crawlers from search engines may not crawl into every web page to check them out. Some web pages may not even be listed when a search is done. Hence it is vital for you to submit your URL to search engine so as to remind crawlers to check your site out.

Talking about search engines, the first search engine that pops into your mind will most likely be Google. Yes indeed, Google is the major search engine with probably more searches done than all the other search engines combined.

Submission to major search engines is a must.

Google
Yahoo
Msn

After submission to major search engines you may want to submit your URLs to other search engines.

Submit your E-books to E-book directories

Make your e-books widely available for the public. Write a short biography about yourself and place a link in the e-book back to your website.

Submit Testimonials

If you have tried out some software and feel that it is useful, feel free to email a testimonial about the software to the software creators. Leave some good comments, your name and a link back to your site at the bottom. If the creator find your testimonial useful they will publish it at their website along with your website link.

There are thousands of people who will be reading these testimonials before trying out the software. This generate lots of exposure for your link.
