New Blogger Features

Blogger rolled out 2 new features namely the scheduled posting and a blogroll feature on 2nd april 2008.

Scheduled Post Publishing If you write a post on Blogger in draft and set the post’s date and time to some time in the future, we’ll schedule the post to appear on your blog at that time, and not before.
Blog List Add a blogroll to your blog’s sidebar. The Blog List is powered by Google Reader, so it can show when each blog was last updated and even include post titles and snippets.

These are new features which are not available in the current blogger but they are available on Blogger in Draft. In order to use this features now you will have to log in to http://draft.blogger.com.

Currently in order to schedule a post and post them automatically one will have to install wordpress plugins. But with blogger's scheduled posting it makes things much more convinent.

Alright you will ask what is so great about scheduled posting?

Believe me, scheduled posting does wonders!

For example you away on a vacation but wants to update your blog regularly, schedule posting can come into play. Just write all the articles in advance, set a time/date stamp and leave it there to work automatically.

You can also post throughout the day without even switching on your computer. Write articles in advance and set a time/date stamp on each article. You can make a post every 6 hours if you want, you can even publish a post while asleep!
