Ouch i have been slapped!
Smorty really does what they preach. Smorty's rule 15 for bloggers,"Bloggers caught submitting posts with duplicate content will be banned from
the Smorty network for life, there are no excuses"
Believe me, they are serious about it. I received a new opportunity yesterday to review on ashopcommerce dot com. I remember reviewing ashop dot com dot au 2 months back. Both websites are totally identical except for their domain name. Being curious and to a certain extend lazy i duplicated the whole post and made some changes to the anchor text only.
Guess what suprise i have in my email inbox the next day?
Unfortunately your blog was declined due to the following reason(s).Gosh!
duplicate post content Once you fix these errors you can re-enter your
blog(s)
from your admin panel under the My Account section. Smorty."
And another email from Smorty saying the post have been declined too.
Double Gosh!
This serve as a reminder to all users out there who are into pay per post programs. I am sure that most of these programs will not allow duplicated content and they do check if contents are duplicated. Dont try this if you dont want to lose a valuable source of income.
